You Capture - Up Close

Here is my first try for the You Capture challenge! Forgive me for putting up so many pictures but I couldn't decide on a 'theme' for my macro experimentation, so they are just a bunch of random pictures!

I love macro, but that doesn't mean I'm good at it! So any helpful hints or comments would be great! ;)

To see everyone else's great ideas and photos, just go to I Should Be Folding Laundry and take a look around!

I'm not entirely sure what's on that burger, but it reminds me of The Simpsons episode with the Good Morning Burger:

"First we take 18 ounces of ground beef and soak it in rich creamery butter. Then we top it with bacon, ham, and a fried egg. We call it the 'Good Morning Burger'."

I dig that acorn! I've never really noticed the textures on the upper portion of an acorn, and this really brings them into perspective.

My tip is to be flexible with your focus point. It doesn't always need to be set in the center. I think the onions would look really neat with the focus point set at the bottom portion of the photo!

Love your photos.

And as far as the burger goes ... it looks real - not like the fancy food photography we see in magazines that you would never want to eat, cause of the hairspray and and other gobbledygook they put on them to make them look pretty.

Very nice job!
